श्रवण भक्ति के आचार्य - Teacher of Hearing Devotion ''

कथा- श्रवण भक्ति के आचार्य -

भगवान श्री कृष्ण की बहन सुभद्रा के पुत्र अभिमन्यु का विवाह विराट की कन्या उत्तरा से हुआ ।उत्तरा के ही पुत्र हुए राजा परीक्षित । राजा परीक्षित को भगवान ने इनकी मां के गर्भ मे जाकर अश्वत्थामा के ब्रम्ह अस्त्र  से बचाया था ।  तब भगवान का नाम उत्तरायण पड़ गया था । उत्तरा के पेट को जिसने अपना अयन बनाया उनका नाम पड़ा उत्तरायण । 

जब पांडव युद्ध जीत गए भगवान द्वारिका चले गए । तब  उत्तरा ने एक बालक को जन्म दिया । वह बालक इतना तेजस्वी था की जन्म लेते ही बैठ गया और चारों तरफ देखने लगा । वह देखता है की जिसने मुझे माता के गर्भ जाकर जिसने मेरी रक्षा की वह कहाँ है ।

 ''परितःइक्षति इति परीक्षितः '' इसलिए इनका नाम पंडितों ने परीक्षित रखा । ब्राम्हणों ने कहा ये रंतीदेव जैसा दयालु होगा । बड़ा धार्मिक होगा संत ,भक्तों  का सेवक होगा एक श्रेष्ठ राजा  होगा ।  भगवान श्रीकृष्ण को पता चला जो तो बालक को आशीर्वाद देने वस्त्र आदि लेकर आए और सबसे मिले ।  श्री कृष्ण पुनः अर्जुन को लेकर द्वारिका चले गए । 

सात महीनों बाद आकर अर्जुन ने बताया की श्री कृष्ण हम सबको छोड़ कर स्वधाम चले गए । इतना सुनते ही माता कुंती ने अपने प्राणों का त्याग कर दिया । पांडव अपनी पत्नी के साथ स्वर्ग यात्रा पर चले गए और  राज्य राजा परीक्षित को देकर गए । राजा परीक्षित अपनी पत्नी इरावती और बच्चे जनमेजय आदि के साथ धर्म पूर्वक राज्य की देखभाल करने लगे ।

  राजा परीक्षित इतने बड़े संत सेवी थे की कभी कभी भेष बदल कर संतों की सेवा करने आश्रमों में चले जाते थे । एक दिन राजा ने देखा की एक बेल जिसके तीन पैर कट कटे हुए हैं , एक पैर से खड़ा हुआ है और एक गाय है जो साक्षात माता पृथ्वी का रूप है - बेल धर्म का रूप है । राजा धर्म और पृथ्वी का संबाद सुनता है । और कलयुग जिसने धर्म के तीन पैर काटे [ दया ,दान ,और शौच ] 

 एक सत्य का ही पैर बचा हुआ है उसको भी काट देना चाहता है कलयुग । राजा ने कलयुग को दंडित किया और उसके कहने पर चार स्थान दिए  जुआ ,मदिरा ,पराई स्त्री का समागम , हिंसा ये चार जगह रहने को दीं  ।  पाँचमी  जगह सोना मे दे दी [ जो हिंसा आदि से कमाया गया है ]  इतना कहकर राजा अपने राज्य में आ जाते हैं और एक दिन राज कोश मे जाकर । 

आज जरासंध को मारकर लाया हुआ  था । जैसे ही उन्होंने वह मुकुट पहन उनके मुकुट में कलयुग ने प्रवेश कर उनके भाव को बदल दिया , जो राजा संतों की सेवा करते थे आज वो राजा  शिकार करने गए और प्यास लगने पर शमीक ऋषि के पास आश्रम में गए वहाँ ऋषि की सच्ची समाधि में बैठे हुए थे राजा  ने पानी  मांगा  ना मिलने पर राजा ने शमीक ऋषि के गले में मरा  हुआ सर्प डाल दिया और चले गए ।

 ऋषि के पुत्र शृंगी ऋषि को पता चला तो उन्होंने राजा परीक्षित को श्राप दे दिया की जिस सर्प को मेरे पिता के गले में डाला उसका पूर्वज तक्षक के काटने से आज से सातवें दिन  राजा परीक्षित की मृत्यु हो जाए  ।  राज्य परीक्षित को पता चल तो अपने पुत्रों को राज्य देकर गंगा किनारे चले गए , वहाँ बड़े बड़े संत महात्मा आए और सात दिन में कैसे मिकती हो ऐसा विचार करने लगे ।

 तभी भगवान की प्रेरणा से श्री शुकदेव जि आए और आटे ही राजा ने उनसे प्रश्न किया - सात दिन में मरने वालों को क्या करना चाहिए ?  शुकदेव जी उत्तर देने लगे और राजा परीक्षित श्रीमद भागवत कथा सुनने लगे सात दिनों तक सात रात्री तक लगातार बिना कुछ खाए पिए राजा ने कथा श्रवण की । बीच में शुकदेव ने पूँछा था राजा कुछ खालों पीलो राजा बोले मुजे केवल कृष्ण रस का ही पान करना है आप सुनाइए । इसीलिए राजा परीक्षित को श्रवण भक्ति का आचार्य माना जाता है ।  श्री शुकदेव जी महाराज की जय , भागवत भगवान की जय ।

Story- Teacher of Shravan Bhakti -

Abhimanyu, son of Lord Krishna's sister Subhadra, was married to Uttara, the daughter of Virata. King Parikshit was the son of Uttara. King Parikshit was saved by God by going to his mother's womb and from Ashwatthama's Brahma astra.  Then God's name was Uttarayan. The one who made Uttara's stomach his ayaan was named Uttarayan. 

When the Pandavas won the war, Lord Dwarika went away. Then Uttara gave birth to a child. The child was so bright that as soon as he was born, he sat down and looked around. He sees where the one who saved me by going to my mother's womb is.

    

"Paritahida Iti Parikshit", hence the name was named Parikshit by the pandits. The Brahmins said that he would be as kind as Rantidev. He will be a great religious saint, a servant of the devotees and a great king.  Lord Krishna came to know that he brought clothes etc. to bless the child and met everyone.  Shri Krishna again took Arjuna to Dwarka. 

After seven months, Arjuna came and told that Shri Krishna left us all and went to Swadham. On hearing this, Mother Kunti sacrificed her life. The Pandavas went on a journey to heaven with their wife and gave the kingdom to King Parikshit. King Parikshit along with his wife Iravati and children Janmejay etc. started taking care of the kingdom religiously.

King Parikshit was such a great saint servant that sometimes he used to go to ashrams to serve the saints in disguise. One day the king saw a bull with three legs cut off, one standing with one foot and a cow which is the form of Mother Earth - the vine is the form of religion. The king listens to the harmony of religion and the earth. and Kalyug who cut off the three legs of dharma [mercy, charity, and defecation] 

 Kalyug wants to cut off the leg of only one truth left. The king punished Kalyug and at his behest, gave him four places to live, gambling, alcohol, foreign women's association, violence.  The king comes to his kingdom and one day goes to the treasury by saying that he has given the fifth place in gold [which has been earned through violence, etc.]. 

Today, Jarasandha was killed and brought. As soon as he wore that crown, Kalyug entered his crown and changed his spirit, who used to serve the king saints, today the king went hunting and when he was thirsty, he went to the ashram near Shamik Rishi, where he was sitting in the true tomb of the sage.

When Sage's son Shringi Rishi came to know about it, he cursed King Parikshit that king Parikshit would die on the seventh day from today due to the bite of Takshak, the ancestor of the snake that was put in my father's throat.  When the state governor came to know about it, he gave the kingdom to his sons and went to the banks of the Ganges, there the great saints came and started thinking about how they would meet in seven days.

Then with the inspiration of God, Shri Shukdev ji came and the king asked him - what should those who die in seven days do?  Shukdev ji started answering and king Parikshit started listening to Shrimad Bhagwat Katha for seven days without eating or drinking anything continuously. In the middle, Shukdev asked, "The king has to drink some skins, the king said, I want to drink only Krishna juice, you tell me." That is why King Parikshit is considered to be the master of Shravan bhakti.  Jai to Shri Shukdev Ji Maharaj, Jai to Bhagwat Bhagwan.
